What is PM Kisan / PM kisan yojana?

PM Kisan, or Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, is a Government of India scheme that provides financial assistance to eligible farmers. The scheme was launched in December 2018 and is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare.
